Studio 601 will be a place that focuses not only on the physical and mental aspects that dance can do for a young dancer, but what comes after. We plan to offer the most personal dance experience so that dancers can reach their full potential as well as their dreams.

Studio 601 was founded as a family structure by Ashlynn Fuqua and her parents Chris and Ashley Barnett. After having dance in her life for 20 years and becoming a third-generation studio director, Ashlynn understands that studios should be a positive and second home environment and she's committed to bringing that to the students in Hattiesburg.

As a family, we have watched dance instill curiosity, self-respect, discipline, maturity, and build character in students for over 50 years. After 50 years of Robinson’s School of Dance in Alabama and after 31 years of Five Flags Dance Academy in Florida our pool of alumni stretches far and wide. At Studio 601 we choose the legacy we leave.
